试验材料本试验所用的三条3英尺长的橡胶原木段是由马来西亚橡胶研究院提供的,这三段原本取自三株橡胶树的基部,皆为健全材,但有许多小节。剥去树皮后,才把原木搬进实验室。木材端面呈鲜黄褐色,无明显的边材和心材之分。根据烘干重和测试材积(含水率为47.7％)的木材比重为0.57,含水率在47.7％时的木材相应密度为52.5磅/英尺~(?),含水率在15％时的木材密度为44.5磅/英尺~3。
TEST MATERIALS The three 3-foot-long sections of rubber logs used in this study were provided by the Malaysian Institute of Rubber Research. The three sections were originally from the base of three rubber trees, all of which are robust but with many bars. Peel off the bark before moving logs into the lab. Timber end fresh yellow brown, no obvious sapwood and heartwood of the points. The specific gravity of wood based on dry weight and tested volume (water content 47.7%) was 0.57 and the corresponding density of wood at water content 47.7% was 52.5 lbs / ft2. The density of wood at 15% moisture content was 44.5 lbs / ft ~ 3.
