胡颓子(羊奶子)胡颓子科胡颓子属,常绿灌木,有刺。叶椭圆形或长椭圆形,草质,被鳞毛。长5～7厘米,先端钝或尖,基部圆形,边缘微波状,表面绿色,背面银白色,叶柄5～8毫米。晚秋开花、花生于叶腋、下垂,银白色。翌年5月果熟、红色。并有金边、玉边、金心等观叶变种。产于我国中部各省,日本也有分布。胡颓子喜光、耐干旱,也耐水湿,对有害气体有较强的抗性。用播种和扦插法繁殖。可栽植庭院作观赏树,也可制作盆景。
