复旦大学历史研究所谭其骧教授,在上海市地方志高级讲习班讲课时,对地方志如何贯彻实事求是精神提出了自己的看法。他说:“在地方志书中贯彻实事求是精神,应该是:秉笔直书,好事要写,坏事也要写;成绩要写,失误也要写,不隐讳,更不能歪曲。要真实,切忌虚伪。” “所谓严肃的、科学的资料书,就是要所载的事皆有根有据,符合事实真相。‘资料书’就是只提供资料,不事褒贬,不发议论,不作宣传。资料必须具体,不要空泛,不要含混。”
Professor Tan Qijie from Fudan University Institute of History put forward his own opinion on how to implement the spirit of seeking truth from facts in the lecture of Shanghai Local History High-level Workshop.
