裹着一层葱郁绿意的“市中豪亚酒店”坐落于密集繁忙的新加坡核心商务区内,是一栋迎合了高强度城市用地要求的新型热带塔楼。与那些源自温带的西方国家,外表光亮且周身密闭的传统摩天楼不同,这座“活”的热带塔楼塑造出的是一种截然不同的形象。任务书要求设计一个独特的办公,酒店及会所综合体,WOHA因此设计了一系列垂直叠加在一起并各自拥有—个空中花园的组团。虽然综合体地处高密度的城市中心,但其内部的这些“新增地面层”仍然为各类娱乐和社会活动提供了充足的公共空间。
Wrapped in greenery, City of Asia Hotel is located within the densely populated core business district of Singapore and is a new tropical tower that caters to the needs of high-intensity urban sites. Unlike traditional skyscrapers in the temperate western countries, which are bright and have a closed atmosphere, this “living” tropical tower shapes a completely different image. The mission statement demanded the design of a unique office, hotel and club complex, and WOHA therefore designed a series of groups vertically superimposed and each owning a sky garden. Although the complex is located in a high-density urban center, these “new ground planes” within it still provide sufficient public space for all types of entertainment and social activities.
