以生物防火林带为主体的林火阻隔网络建设,以其特有的优势和不可替代的作用,提到了“九五”计划和2010年建设的议事日程。生物防火林带,是依据生物自身抗力,利用植物(乔木或灌木)个体或群体燃烧性、耐火性的差异,以及植物与环境之间相互影响、相互作用的不同,将难燃的、耐火性强的树种科学配植组合成林带,起到阻隔林火蔓延、防止或减轻森林植被易燃的作用,从总体上提高森林自身抗御火灾的能力,尽可能减少森林火灾损失。这里分析了生物防火林带的主要功能,提出了我国现如今生物防火林带工程营造存在的问题,并指出了一些具体解决措施。
