在长江口东南海面,坐落着我国最大的岛群,它就是舟山群岛。舟山群岛岛礁众多,星罗棋布,共有大小岛屿1339个,因此也素有千岛之城的美称。群岛中属舟山岛最大,面积为502平方公里,为我国的第四大岛。舟山群岛还是我国沿海航线中途的必经之地,如今群岛港口发展迅速已成为了上海、宁波水运的中转卫星港。截至目前,港口已有7个开放码头、16家对外修理船厂。随着舟山群岛港口一步步走向国际,舟山边防检查站官兵的边检任务也日益加重,如今该站已在12个海岛上设立了33个执勤点,并给每个执勤点下派了驻点官兵。

Now the station has set up 33 duty-free points on 12 islands and sent stations to each duty point Officers and soldiers.
