天钢以强化节能减排、共建碧水蓝天为己任。在“绿水青山就是金山银山”的环保理念指引下,结合最新环保法规和排放标准,围绕建设东丽·渤钢冶金绿色环保示范区目标,采取有针对性的管理技术措施,开展一系列卓有成效的改造,加强环保监管与环境治理,加大污染治理力度,天钢的碳排放总量完全控制在初始配额内,成为全国首批符合《钢铁行业规范条件》达标企业。近年来,天钢相继投巨资开展了多项环境污染治理项目,取得了显著的经济效益、社会效益和环境效益。其中:
