1938年以后,随着长江航运和浙赣铁路的中断,江西因其特殊的地理区位,其境内公路一跃成为东南各省和西南诸省沟通的交通大动脉。为适应战时需要,江西省公路处疏通并优化了东西沟通的公路交通要道,完善了江西与湘粤闽浙等省之间的省际公路交通。在此背景下,江西汽车运输业蓬勃发展,境内军需民用运输繁忙,战时工矿产业得到发展,城镇经济呈现递进繁荣态势。通达的公路网络、便捷的汽车运输、繁荣的战时区域经济,为东南抗战的持久坚持和最终胜利奠定了坚实的基础。
After 1938, along with the suspension of the Yangtze River Shipping and the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway, Jiangxi became a major artery of communication between the southeast provinces and the southwestern provinces due to its special geographical location. In order to meet the needs of wartime, highway roads in Jiangxi Province dredge and optimize the thoroughfare communication between the east and the west and improve inter-provincial road traffic between Jiangxi, Hunan, Fujian, Zhejiang and other provinces. Against this background, the automobile transportation industry in Jiangxi Province has been booming. Businesses and civilian transportation in the country is busy. As a result, industrial and mining industries have been developed in wartime and the economy in cities and towns has been enjoying a gradual and prosperous development. The accessible road network, convenient transportation of automobiles and the flourishing wartime regional economy have laid a solid foundation for the lasting adherence to the Southeast Anti-Japanese War and its eventual victory.
