辽盐2号(S16)是辽宁省盐碱地利用研究所从丰锦品种田中选到的变异株,经系统选育于1987年育成。分别于1988年4月、6月经过省级鉴定和省品种审定委员会审定,并命名推广。1990年省内外推广面积超过250万亩,现已列入国家计委、农业部“八五”期间重点扩繁推广项目,要求到1992年推广面积达400万亩。产量表现 1985～1986年参加
Liaoning Salt No. 2 (S16) is a mutant strain selected from the Fengjin variety field by the Institute of Saline-alkali Land Utilization in Liaoning Province and was bred in 1987 by systematic breeding.
