Edward Mosel and May-Britt Moser are founding members of the Memory Science Center at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Kaffir Institute of Neuroscience (KI / CBM). They grew up on two adjacent islands on the west coast of Norway and met at high school, but they did not really understand each other until their path to life met at Oslo University. They found that they each had similar interests and decided to study psychology together. In 1990, they graduated from the University of Oslo with a degree in psychology. At the same time, they find that they are also interested in each other. The couple received a Ph.D. in neurophysiology from the University of Oslo (1995) under the direction of Professor Peir Anderson. he
