汕优63,是福建省三明地区农科所用恢复系明恢63与不育系珍汕97配制而成的杂优新组合。我县于1984年引进示范试种1600亩。试种结果表明,该组合具有根系发达,茎秆粗壮,分蘖力强,株型好,穗长粒大,结实率高,后期落色好,米质优,抗性强等特点。据锦江乡农技员付继昌作的小区对比试验,汕优63株高96厘米,每亩有效穗26万,每穗实粒数114粒,结实率94.2％,千粒重32克,折合亩产1050斤,比汕优2号植株高6.5厘米,有效穗亩增3万,穗长增1.2厘米,每穗实粒数多28.5粒,结实率高
