For the barren, I always understand it as overgrown, weird rock, and inaccessible. In fact, those are not real desolation, but desolate. Desolation is an uncivilized original ecology, is the origin of life, in its quiet appearance, we can always find vigorous vitality and see the ecstatic growth of life. The desolation is different, it is the kind of biological exhaustion of nutrients, can no longer breed a new life state, it is the time of contraction, termination. Without water, plants and animals, even the stones are weathered into dust. There is only dust and white in the vast world. For example, burning full pulverized coal not only shows no sign of life, but even the wisdom that once appeared to change everything else can not leave a trace of one and a half stars here.
