燕山大学教授田永君团队与吉林大学教授马琰铭、美国芝加哥大学教授王雁宾合作,在高温高压下成功合成出硬度两倍于天然金刚石的纳米孪晶结构金刚石块材,这是他们继2013年合成出极硬纳米孪晶立方氮化硼之后又一新突破.该研究成果发表在2014年6月12日《自然》杂志上.天然金刚石一直被公认为自然界中最硬的材料,但由于热稳定性差,导致其在切割、钻孔等方面的应用
Tian Yongjun, a professor at Yanshan University team, cooperated with Professor Ma Yanming from Jilin University and Wang Yanbin from University of Chicago, USA to synthesize nano twins diamond with hardness twice as high as natural diamond under the condition of high temperature and high pressure. New breakthrough in nano-twinned cubic boron nitride, published in Nature, June 12, 2014. Natural diamond has long been recognized as the hardest material in nature but due to poor thermal stability, Its cutting, drilling and other aspects of the application
