在这次上海戏剧节绚丽多姿、纷呈异彩的剧目中,以近代史为题材的京剧《谭嗣同》(谢雨青、陈文华、程惟湘编剧,薛沐导演),是比较引人注目的一个戏。写“戊戌变法”,以往舞台上大抵着意于慈禧与光绪、珍妃之间的矛盾斗争,而维新党人仅处陪衬地位。这次上海京剧院却另辟蹊径,选中维新阵营中激进分子谭嗣同为主写戏,足见胆略。而谭嗣同的史载,足供采摘的戏剧性的东西不是太多,作者平地起高楼,原要一番惨淡经营,个中甘苦,可以想见。
