约翰·厄普代克的《兔子,跑吧》自出版以来就好评不断。小说成功地创作了“兔子”哈里这一形象。兔子一直处于困惑中:他对现实生活不满,欲通过逃跑来对抗周围世界和传统社会,却没有明确的目标和方向,一直处于矛盾和孤独的状态。本论文试从多个角度分析哈里的人物形象,并就简要概述当下中国青年的心理状态。
John Updike’s “Bunny, Run” has been well received since its publication. The novel successfully created the image of “rabbit” Harry. The rabbit has been in perplexity: he is dissatisfied with the real life and wants to fight against the surrounding world and traditional society by fleeing. However, he has no definite goal and direction and has always been in a contradictory and lonely state. This thesis attempts to analyze Harry’s characters from multiple perspectives and briefly summarizes the current psychological status of Chinese youth.
