青海省浅山地区有1800多万亩土地,占东部农业区的1/3,耕地面积占全省耕地的1/2,有人口110多万,占全省农业人口的一半左右。不论是从提高粮食产量、发展畜牧业和商品经济来看,还是从改变生态环境等方面来说,浅山区在全省国民经济中都占有十分重要的位置。然而,这里千沟万壑,植被稀疏,水土流失严重,在长时期内粮食总产只占全省的1/4,是我省最贫困的地区。但这里土地资源,劳力资源,光、热、气等资源相对而言比较好,潜力很大,是一个十分有希望的地区。
There are more than 18 million mu of land in the shallow mountain area of Qinghai Province, accounting for one-third of the eastern agricultural area. The cultivated area accounts for one-half of the cultivated area of the province, with a population of over 1.1 million, accounting for about half of the province’s agricultural population. Whether from improving grain production, developing animal husbandry and commodity economy, or changing ecological environment, shallow mountain areas occupy a very important place in the national economy of the whole province. However, there are a thousand gully areas with sparse vegetation and serious water and soil loss. The total output of grain in the long term only accounts for one quarter of the province’s total. It is the poorest area in the province. However, land resources, labor resources, light, heat, gas and other resources are comparatively good and have great potential here. This is a very promising area.
