侯马地处汾、浍二河交会处,地势平坦,土地肥沃,气候温暖,是四方交通枢纽,古代贸易十分频繁,春秋时晋迁新田,即今之侯马。建国以来,在我省有四处较重要的古货贝发现:保德县林遮峪商代晚期墓、侯马上马村春秋墓、洪洞县西周墓、灵石县旌介村商墓,出土贝币有自然贝及金属铸贝等。此外,还有些货贝流散在民间。现就我近年在侯马一带搜集的部分货贝作一简介。一、海贝:少数为磨背式,多数有大穿孔。其中发现有两枚虎斑大贝,其余为白色海贝。虎斑贝,通长8,最宽6,厚4厘米。大海贝,通长3厘米左右,最宽2厘米左右。小海贝,通长2厘米左右,最宽1厘米左右。
