大型历史电视剧《太平天国》融思想性、史料性、艺术性、可视性于一体,向人们展现了中国历史上最大规模的农民起义太平天国运动。这部鸿篇巨制以人述情,以情带史,以人叙史,以情动人,给人以气势磅礴、人物众多、战况空前的大作之感。尽管人们对该电视剧褒贬不一,我细观46集后认为,这是反映中国近代农民战争的成功之作。它的成功在于把历史真实与艺术创作生动地结合起来,把数十个天国英雄和清代帝王将相人物都栩栩如生地融入那不太平的动荡年代,写他们的苦难与奋斗,追求与抗争,偶然与必然,反映了一代天国英雄们的悲欢离合,描绘了以洪秀全为首的天国将士们作为中国旧民主主义革命先驱创造震惊中外的太平天国、动摇腐朽清王朝统治的悲壮一幕。
The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a large-scale historical TV drama, integrates ideological, historical, artistic and visual features and shows the Taiping Rebellion to the greatest peasant uprising in Chinese history.
