2005年三峡工程建设总体目标已经实现,枢纽运行正常、效益充分发挥。其中:工程安全处于受控状态,工程质量逐步提高,工程进度满足总体要求,枢纽建筑运行安全,电力生产超额完成,船闸畅通滚装有序。截止2005年12月31日,三峡工程2005年完成土石方开挖160．51万立方米,填筑46．91万立方米,混凝土浇筑169．44万立方米,金结机电埋件及安装20651．02吨,机组埋件8212吨,机组安装8250吨,固结灌浆5832米,帷幕灌浆53065．98米,接缝灌浆51401．15平方米。 2005年9月26日左岸电站14台机组全部投产运行。2005年三峡电厂累计发电490．9亿千瓦时。 2006年是决定2007年、2008年三峡右岸机组投产计划能否实现的关键一年。是迎接156米水位下新的运行阶段的一年,工作任务十分艰巨,2006年汛期三峡右岸大坝开始挡水,三峡枢纽承担防洪任务,汛后抬高库水位至156米。图为三峡工程全线达高程160米以上的右岸大坝。
