2006年岁末,罗伯特·卡森(Robert Carsen)为芝加哥抒情歌剧院的舞台带来了他的新制作《伊菲姬尼在陶里德》。这部格鲁克作于1779年的《伊菲姬尼在陶里德》由苏珊.格雷厄姆饰演剧名主角,在2007年6月移师旧金山歌剧院之前,于芝加哥抒情剧院先行上演。罗伯特·卡森的作品几乎遍及歌剧曲目的每一个角落,从正歌剧到艺术歌曲,从施特劳斯到瓦格纳……在将作品搬上舞台时,卡森总能成功地同时做到气势浩大而又不乏内在深度。所以每当听说由卡森执导的作品要上演.总是令人振奋不已。或许随着格鲁克复兴的进程,在渐趋成熟的舞台前沿,再没有比卡森更好的导演了。
By the end of 2006, Robert Carsen brought his new production “Iphigeni at Tau Reid” to the stage of the Chicago Lyric Theater. The Grücker starring Susan Graham as “Ivgeny’s Tau Reid” in 1779 premiered at the Lyric Theater in Chicago before moving to the San Francisco Opera in June 2007. Robert Carson’s works cover almost every part of the opera, from orthodox to artistic songs, from Strauss to Wagner ... Carson succeeded in doing both at work and at the same time But there is no lack of depth. So whenever I heard that the work directed by Carson was going on, it was always heartening. Perhaps with the rejuvenation of Gluck, at the forefront of the increasingly mature stage, there is no better director than Carson.
