知道Voodoo的玩家对SLI一定不会陌生,这种使用两块显卡并联渲染的方法曾经是当时最强劲的PC图形解决方案,不过SLI也以其高昂的价格成为多数玩家可望而不可及的一个梦想。以后的几年,PC上的显卡开始向AGP接口过渡,由于早期的规范中并没有提供对双AGP接口的支持,所以也就没什么人想到去开发双显卡的解决方案了。期间虽然出现了像Metabyte公司代号Stepsister的另类产品(将一个AGP接口和一个PCI接口的显卡搭配使用),但由于其性能并不出众,并没有引起大家广泛的关注。很多年过去了,虽然PC上的显卡经历了脱胎换骨的发展,处理性能也达到了当初voodoo的千百倍以上,但是SLI仍然只是停留在我们的梦想中而已。直到几天前的6月28日,nVIDIA发布了它最新的多显卡并行处理方案SLI,宣称此技术可获得约1.87倍的单显卡性能,我们才又一次有了当初看到voodoo SLI的激动心情。

Until a few days ago on June 28, nVIDIA released its latest multi-graphics parallel processing program SLI, claiming that this technology can get about 1.87 times the single-card performance, we once again had the excitement of seeing voodoo SLI .
