Objective To understand the EEG status of welders and provide references for the prevention and diagnosis of related diseases. Methods A total of 218 welding workers were selected from 10 factories in Jiangshan City as working groups. 220 workers in the 10 factories engaged in administration and logistics during the same period were selected as non-working groups, and EEG examination and comparison were conducted between the two groups of workers. Results The frequency of EEG abnormality in working group was significantly higher than that in non-working group (χ2 = 13.48, P <0.05). With the increase of seniority, the incidence of anomalies in EEG also increased significantly. The incidence of EEG abnormality in workers with poor ventilation was significantly higher than that in well-ventilated and ventilated workers. Electro-manual Abnormal incidence was significantly higher than submerged arc welding and welding. Conclusions The incidence of abnormal EEG in welders is high, and the longer the working life, the poor ventilation environment in operation, and the higher incidence of EEG abnormalities in hand arc welding should be given enough attention.
