有资料显示,中国最大的百货商业企业上海第一百货公司年销售额仅30多亿元人民币,而最大的上海华联超市连锁店目前也只接近200家的规模。而与之相比,“沃尔玛”一个海外零售巨头的年销售额高达1000亿美元以上,在全世界拥有3000多个连锁店。统计表明,中国零售企业平均毛利率水平在17%左右,平均纯利水平不到2%;而国外大型跨国零售企业的毛利率一般都在10%左右,但纯利却有3%-4%。国外零售企业尽管人工成本较高,但先进的经营方式和管理模式却使其成本远远低于中国。面对如此敌我悬殊,业内专家告诫中国零售企业:把握未来的竞争,不光应该关注规模、资金、管理、技术等因素,也不光着力打造连锁经营、物流配送、电子商务,而更为重要的是真正树立起“以人为本”的思想,在零售创新上超越海外对手。
