这里讲的是一个家庭和三所私立外语学校的故事。已是65岁的许景义先生率领他家庭中的9个人办起了全国首家私立外语高等学府——私立威海外语培训学院和两所日语中专学校。这件事在他的家乡文登市和整个胶东半岛引起了震动。在这些学校毕业的学生如今也是桃李满天下了。满身儒雅之气的许景义却有着不堪回首的往昔。1957年,他被错划成右派,后又被扣上反革命分子帽子,坐牢9年。1966年获释,被遣送到辽宁省农村接受了14年的监督劳动改造。从监禁到劳教前后的23年里,他一直没有放弃学习,将几十本日语、文学理论、教育理论等书籍一一啃完。他深信“天生我材必有用”1979年,许景义恢复了自由。此时,他已是年过半百的人了,又家贫如洗。本来他有条件通过日本友人移居海外生
Here is the story of a family and three private foreign language schools. Mr. Xu Jingyi, 65, led nine people in his family to run the first private foreign language institution of higher learning in China - the private Weihai Foreign Language Training Institute and two Japanese secondary schools. The incident caused a stir in Wendeng, his hometown, and the entire Jiaodong Peninsula. Students graduating from these schools are now all over the world. Xu Jingyi, who is full of refined style, has a history of being painsful. In 1957, he was wrongly classified as a rightist, later labeled a counter-revolutionary hat, jailed for 9 years. He was convinced that “naturally I will be useful.” In 1979, Xu Jingyi restored freedom. At this time, he is over half a year old, and he is poor. He had the condition to emigrate overseas through Japanese friends
