一年以来美国新经济虽然出现了暂时的困难，然而从历史的角度比较，可以发现以计算机以及互联网的广泛使用为特征的新经济，和蒸汽机、电力的广泛使用一样，同样是一场崭新的科技革命。美国股市当前的下跌从经济的长期增长来看利大于弊；一些大公司出现的问题反映了新经济的游戏规则，整体经济将最终从中获益。对于中国而言，建立完善的金融市场，进一步加大市场化进程的力度，以及建立良好的国家创新体系，将使我国在新经济的国际竞争中保持竞争优势。
