本文以历史事实为依据，考查了四个历史时期，不同的政治环境下，邓小平不计恩怨得失，矢志不渝地维护毛泽东政治地位和毛泽东思想科学体系的历程。认为邓小平是最早支持毛泽东的正确主张，是深谙毛泽东思想精髓的人，是毛泽东思想最杰出的继承者。
Based on historical facts, this essay examines Deng Xiaoping’s achievements and disappointments in safeguarding Mao Zedong’s political status and Mao Zedong Thought’s scientific system in four historic periods and different political environments. He believes that Deng Xiaoping was the earliest correct proponent of Mao Tse-tung’s support and was the person who understood the essence of Mao Zedong Thought and the most outstanding successor to Mao Tse-tung’s thought.
