联合国人口活动基金会宣布,1987年7月11日世界人口达到50亿。人口的高速度增长,使人口问题成了一个世界性的大问题。人口警钟敲响了,它告诉人们,人口非严格控制不可,否则将出现灾难性的后果。我国人口的变化对世界人口的规模和增长是一个巨大的“砝码”。在全世界50亿人口中,有10.72亿是中国人,我国人口占了世界人口总数的21.4％,据世界银行测算,由于我国十几年来控制人口增长的努力,把“世界50亿人口日”推迟了两年,因而严格控制我国人口的过快增长是稳定世界
The United Nations Population Fund announced that the world’s population reached 5 billion on 11 July 1987. The rapid population growth has made the issue of population a big problem of a worldwide dimension. The population alarm rang, telling people that the population is not under strict control, otherwise catastrophic consequences will occur. The change in our population is a huge “weight” for the size and growth of the world’s population. Of the 5 billion people in the world, 10.72 million are Chinese, and our population accounts for 21.4% of the world’s population. According to estimates by the World Bank, due to our efforts in controlling population growth over the past decade or so, “the world’s 5 billion population days” Postponed for two years, and thus strictly controlling the excessive growth of our population is to stabilize the world
