《格萨尔》是果洛草原的一颗明珠藏族谚语里说:“天果洛,地果洛。”就是说,果洛草原与天地同在,与日月齐辉,古老又悠远,苍茫又壮丽,在青藏高原、在藏族地区,乃至祖国大家庭具有极为重要的地位。果洛草原还流传着一句更为古老的谚语,从远古流传至今:“蓝天没有形成以前,大地已经形成;大地没有形成以前,果洛三部落已经形成。”这句谚语有些夸张,但充分体现了果洛人民对自己故乡的无限热爱,体现了作为果洛人的光荣感和自豪
