At the invitation of the Chinese Association of Translators, Hans, chairman of the Federal German Federation of Translators and Workers (BDV), was invited. Mr. Thomas Schwartz, head of the Federation’s delegation to China, visited China on 6 May. The Federation is one of the founding nations of the A-level International Organization for the Interpretation of Transnational Organizations under the auspices of UNESCO. During its stay in China, the delegation also visited places such as Xi’an, Shanghai and Hangzhou besides Beijing.
