1995年9月25日,我兴致勃勃地去距城郊的石门采集石头。这里是县河最宽的河道,石头特别多。其中不少石头奇形怪状,色彩斑斓,令人眼花缭乱。我像用梳子梳,篦子篦,走了一处又一处,凡见到稍有形象和纹理的都要拾起来,先装进挎包,以后再筛选。这样,大半上午,才拾到几枚不太理想的石头,虽不满足,但心想,奇石是“可遇而不可求”。谁知打算收兵回营时,忽然,一枚带色石头映入眼帘。拾起一看,在棕色石面上,镶嵌着线条清晰的白色纹理。再一看,发现这纹理竟有点像人的侧面半身图案,精神为之一振,顾不得再仔细斟酌,便带着丰收的喜悦,兴高采烈地回到家中。这枚石头高11cm,宽9cm;周边薄,中间厚;石面虽不光滑细腻,但质地坚硬沉重。经反复观察,感觉石头图案的确像人。
