大跃进的1958年，贵州工业建设的速度同全国一样也以一日千里之势向前突飞猛进，锐不可挡。综合勘察院为了适应这一形势的要求，在贵州成立了综合勘察院贵州工作站，人员是从四面八方抽调过来的。其中工作站测量队一组，共有成员十人（党团员各一人、技术员三人、新工人四人、老工人一人）。这一支年轻的测绘队伍象一支突苞竞放的花朵，红艳艳地开放在贵州的山区，结出了一连串的丰盛硕果，而且是一个比一个大。正是因为这样，他们在1958年就被评为站的先进组，今年又被评为贵州建工厅的先进单位，这次又出席了全国的群英大会。
In 1958, during the Great Leap Forward, the pace of industrial construction in Guizhou was as rapid as its predecessors in the country. It was unstoppable.
