一、缺水现状河池地区有十个县(市)147个乡(镇),总人口331.8万人,其中农业人口299.64万人。总缺水人数118.59万人和123.19万头牲畜。建国以来,特别是党的十一届三中全会以来,党和政府很关心人畜饮水工作,兴建了大批的人畜饮水工程,累计投资5009.9万元。初步解决了62.36万人和70.42万头牲畜的饮水问题。现缺水人数尚有56.23万人
