最近在中共西礼县委领导下,组成了“西礼戏调查研究委员会”,对在甘肃省西礼县流传了近两百年的西礼戏(原名影子腔,又名灯调)进行了挖掘、整理、研究工作。这个剧种唱腔悠扬,道白近似口语,过去是由皮影和幻灯亮的形式进行演出的。在反动统治时期,西礼戏受到了摧残。解放后,在“百花齐放、推陈出新”的方针下,这个剧种有了新的发展,同时用木偶和真人扮演,既演传统剧目又演现代戏,西礼戏现代戏《一场斗争》在甘肃省第一届群众业余会演中得到了好评。
