1980年是本志正式列入我省编写计划的第二年。在这一年中,除了在校内和继续组织各协作单位搞好标本采集和饲养工作外,还先后多次派出有关人员分赴宜春、萍乡、上饶、井凶山、赣州、吉安等六个地、市、山共十个县市,进行实地考察,广泛采集昆虫标本,了解其发生为害和分布规律,进一步查明了一批昆虫的寄主,为编写好本经济志各个分册提供很有价值的第一手资料。
