随着科学技术的发展,我国的通信技术取得了很大的进展,网络需求也在迅猛增长,网络及业务的IP化、新业务的开展及宽带用户的迅猛增加,国家干线上的IP流量剧增,带宽需求逐年成倍增长,对光纤线路的需求也迅速增长,然而光纤线路建设难度大,资源有限。OTN光传送网能化解网络迅猛发展对光纤资源需求量剧增和有限的光纤资源之间的矛盾。OTN是下一代的骨干传送网,具有很多新的技术特点,越来越受到重视。
