随着全球经济一体化进程的加快,我国社会需要大批英语交际能力强的复合型人才,其中英语阅读能力是获取信息的重要途径,但是当前高校大学英语阅读教学普遍存在课时减少、阅读量少、阅读功利化等问题,改革传统的英语阅读教学模式迫在眉睫。欧普拉读书俱乐部引起了美国的一场阅读革命,它的成功经验和模式对于我国大学英语阅读教学改革具有参考价值。本文针对大学英语阅读教学中存在的问题,通过分析欧普拉读书俱乐部的经验,提出了大学英语阅读教学改革的对策和建议。
With the acceleration of the process of global economic integration, our society needs a large number of compound talents with strong communicative competence in English. Among them, English reading ability is an important way to obtain information. But at present, college English reading teaching generally has fewer classes, less readings, Reading utilitarianism and other issues, the reform of the traditional English reading teaching mode is imminent. Oprah’s Reading Club has caused a reading revolution in the United States. Its successful experience and models are of reference value to the reform of college English reading teaching in our country. This article aims at the existing problems in college English reading teaching and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions on the reform of college English reading teaching by analyzing the experience of the Oprah Reading Club.
