I used to be a barefoot doctor in the book team of the Guocheng Commune in Luancheng County. Under the guidance of Chairman Mao’s revolutionary line and under the care of party organizations at all levels, since 1971, he has followed Chairman Mao’s teaching that “Chinese medicine is a great treasure house and should be diligently explored and improved”. Using Chairman Mao’s brilliant philosophical thinking as a weapon, he continuously explored methods for treating sequelae of poliomyelitis with Chinese herbal medicine and achieved initial results.
