有轨电车作为19世纪末20世纪初新兴的城市公共交通工具传入中国后,很快在津、沪等口岸城市发展起来。北京电车公司不仅起步较晚,而且命运多舛。究其原因,既有市民商界陈旧观念引发的对新生事物的排斥,也有半封建半殖民地社会所造成的畸形的公司管理机制和管理理念对新兴产业的抵制,但最根本的原因还在于:落后的封建制度难以适应工业社会的发展需要,浓厚的封建意识滞障了社会生活方式的改变。北京电车公司创建与发展的艰难历程是民国时期北京城半殖民地半封建社会性质的缩影。
After being introduced into China as a new urban public transport system in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the tram soon developed in the port cities of Tianjin and Shanghai. Beijing tram company not only started late, and more fate. The reason is not only the exclusion of new things caused by the outdated concepts of the civil business community, but also the deformity of the corporate management mechanism and the management concept of the semi-feudal and semi-colonial society that cause boycott of emerging industries. However, the most fundamental reason is that the backward Feudal system is difficult to adapt to the needs of the development of industrial society, a strong sense of feudalism hinder the change of social lifestyles. The difficult course of the founding and development of Beijing Tram Company is the microcosm of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society in Beijing during the Republic of China.
