上墅私立高中创办于1984年,是新中国第一所私立高中。学校概况创办20年来,先后成为“教育部重点课题实验学校”、“浙江省优秀民办学校”、“省一级重点学校”和“浙江省外国留学生交流基地”。学校一直受到两任全国人大副委员长雷洁琼、许嘉璐的直接关心和支持,全国政协副主席张怀西、浙江省副省长盛昌黎、省教育厅厅长侯靖方等领导曾先后专程来校视察。校长汤有祥曾荣获省“春蚕奖”,“21世纪封面人物”、“全国民办教育十大杰出人物”等荣誉。
Shangshu Private Senior High School was founded in 1984 and is the first private high school in New China. Since the establishment of the school for 20 years, it has successively become the “Experimental School of the Key Projects of the Ministry of Education”, “the Excellent Private Schools of Zhejiang Province”, the “Key School of the Provincial Level” and the “Exchange Base for Foreign Students of Zhejiang Province”. The school has been directly concerned and supported by two vice-chairmen of the National People’s Congress, Lei Jieqiong and Xu Jiayu. Vice Presidents of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Zhang Huaixi, Deputy Governor of Zhejiang Province Sheng Changli, and Director of the Department of Education of the Ministry of Education Hou Jingfang have visited the University on a special trip. President You Youxiang won the “Spring Silkworm Prize” of the province, “Cover characters of the 21st century” and “Top Ten Outstanding Persons of Private Education in China” and other honors.
