党的十八大报告明确指出,对马克思主义的信仰,对社会主义和共产主义的信念,是共产党人的政治灵魂,是共产党人经受任何考验的精神支柱。理想信念是一个国家、民族和政党团结奋斗的精神旗帜,理想信念动摇是最危险的动摇。从1921年我们党成立之日到现在,坚定的理想信念始终是我们共产党人的政治灵魂和精神支柱,无论历史如何变迁,无论社会如何发展,对于我们共产党员来说坚定理想信念都是最重要的。因此,理想信念问题,是攸关党的事业成败和国家兴衰的重大课题,也是党员干部队伍思想建设中的一个突出问题。

Therefore, the issue of ideal and conviction is a major issue concerning the success or failure of the party’s cause and the rise and fall of the country. It is also a prominent issue in the ideological building of party members and cadres.
