沙井街道位于深圳市宝安区西北部、珠江口东岸,面积60平方公里,人口60万(其中户籍人口2.6万)。近年来,沙井镇先后被广东省委、省政府评为“广东省文明示范镇”,被中宣部等五部委评为“全国创建文明小城镇示范点”,被中央文明委评为“全国精神文明创建工作先进单位”。为加快城市建设,2004年7月1日,按照深圳市委、市政府统一部署,沙井撤镇建街道办事处,下辖的26个行政村改为居委会。沙井街道办事处大力实施“园区带动经济发展”战略,
Shajing Street is located in the northwest of Bao’an District, Shenzhen City, east of the Pearl River Estuary, an area of 60 square kilometers, a population of 600,000 (of which household population of 26,000).
