大区域(大尺度空间范围上的)地下水系统通常由不同的地貌单元组成,水文地质条件复杂,建立地下水流模型的目的和要求、水文地质结构、流场、参数分区、各种补排项概化和处理方面与小区域模型有较大的差异,因此建模的准则也不同。FEFLOW对含水层分层、单元剖分、离散点插值、数据转换、边界条件赋值、河流边界、含水层均衡项等处理的特点,提高了建立地下水流模型的效率,使它更加适宜于建立大区域地下水流模拟模型。
