杭州西湖山区所产的龙井茶向有“色绿、香郁、味甘、形美”四绝佳茗之称,历来备受饮者赞尝。解放后,龙井茶有了很大发展,畅销国内外,对龙井茶的需要量和品质,都提出了更高的要求。 在现有条件下要提高龙井茶的产量和品质,我们决定从选育良种入手。 龙井茶区的茶树,是一个有性群体品种。茶树是异花授粉植物,容易天然杂交,后代的差异很大,植株间的优劣十分悬殊,如果选其优良植株,加以鉴定繁殖,就有可能选育出更好的龙井茶的新品种。根据这样的设想,我们从1960年开始采用单株选种的方
