华裔旅美作家东方少的小说集《归梦》由《归梦》和《忧郁男手记》两部长篇小说组成。作者聚焦当代美国华裔新移民的生活,从新移民如何寻找新的地理及社会定位、如何处理家庭关系、如何适应美国当地的华人社会、如何与美国人交往、如何融入当地社会等方面展开了对当代(大陆)华裔移民在异国追寻和重建自我身份的思考。对于在异国他乡定居的移民们来说,重新寻找自我的身份和位置的过程是艰难而痛苦的。作者以细腻委婉的笔调,为我们展现了这一过程的真实画面。
Chinese writers in the United States write less oriental novel “Dreams” from “dreams” and “Melancholy Men’s Notes” two novels.
