天门市地处江汉平原腹地,是全国内地著名侨乡,又是茶圣陆羽的故里,具有鲜明的地域经济及文化特色。全市国土面积2622平方公里,下辖4个街道办事处,21个乡(镇),2个农场,765个村委会,63个社区居委会。随着经济社会的发展,人们生产生活交流不断增加,对地名管理与服务提出了新要求。我们抓住机遇,积极开展乡(镇)地名设标工作,取得了阶段性成果。
Located in the hinterland of Jianghan Plain, Tianmen is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in the Mainland and the hometown of Lu Sheng Tea. It has distinctive regional economic and cultural features. The city’s land area of 2622 square kilometers, administered 4 street offices, 21 townships (towns), 2 farms, 765 village committees, 63 community committees. With the economic and social development, people’s production and living exchanges have been constantly increasing, putting new demands on the management and service of geographical names. We seized the opportunity and actively carried out the work of marking the names of townships (towns) and achieved phased results.
