Jane Austin as the most influential female writer in English literary world from the late 18th century to early 19th century, her success lies not in the magical life she never married, nor in the six works she wrote in her life, but in such a life-long unmarried Women actually explored the complex relationship between real material, love and marriage in just a few of the six works, revealing to all the readers an eternal topic: what is more important, material and spiritual? From her Works is easy to see that love is of course very important, but in the face of brutal real life, then precious love is probably also vulnerable, without the material basis of love, precarious. Although the author’s life does not allow women too many choices, but in this regard, she already has a higher awareness, it is commendable. Taking the love and marriage stories in “Pride and Prejudice” as examples, this article explores the importance of matter in the marriage of love and marriage. It clearly points out that material is the basis of all spiritual consciousness.
