The new “Komuna Paryska” shipyard in Gdynia, Poland, recently opened a new hull assembly (construction) center. Its components include a 70-meter-wide 380-meter dock (SD-II in Fig. 1) and an assembly area of 68,000 to 2 meters. This dock and assembly yard is equipped with the following hoisting equipment (Figure 1): 3 tower cranes of 150 tons × 35 meters or 100 tons × 50 meters; 2 towers of 20 tons × 50 meters or 10 tons × 60 meters Crane and a 900 tons × 153 meters from the gantry attention.
