Spain News: The serum copper/zinc (Cu/Za) ratio of lung cancer patients is significantly higher than that of patients with benign lung disease and normal controls. If the ratio of serum Cu/Zn in patients with lung cancer before treatment is 2.25 or more, there is a high possibility that the tumor cannot be removed, and no more than 5% of the patients survive for 24 months. The average serum zinc level (62.7ug/dl) of lung cancer patients was significantly lower than that of healthy individuals (73.3ug/dl) and benign lung diseases (69.9ug/dl). TNM classification of lung cancer patients, serum zinc concentration in the third phase of an average of 60ug/dl, phase II and I average of 66.7ug/dl. The average blood copper level of patients with lung cancer (140.1ug/dl) was significantly higher than that of the healthy temporary (100.0ug/dl) and benign lung disease patients (112.5ug/dl). The mean serum copper level for stage III patients was 150.3 ug/dl, compared with 125.0 ug/dl for stage I and stage II patients.
