According to the journal Nature, tens of millions of pounds of funding needed to build the Center for Biological Research by the British Medical Research Association (MRC) and the restructured London Teaching Hospital by Wellcome Trust are being ominously shadowed. MRC has already paid £ 13 million to build a five-story building-clinical science center (CSC) at the Royal Institute of Medical Research at Hammersmith Hospital. Wellcome Trust also agreed to provide a further £ 4 million to cover the cost of one of the structures in the building expected to be completed in March 1994. It also promised to provide five research groups with program allocations.
