Dutch scholar Schneiders et al compared the geometric shapes before and after rupture of the aneurysm and thought that the change of geometry may be the risk factor of aneurysm rupture. Previously, because of the small percentage of patients who underwent intracranial vascular imaging prior to rupture of the aneurysm, it was difficult to obtain shape change data associated with rupture. In this study, 3D geometric models of an aneurysm before and after rupture of the aneurysm were obtained by high-quality 3D imaging. The aneurysm volume and location were also compared. Nerve radiologists evaluated the shape of the aneurysm, the hematoma around the aneurysm, and the dilation effect on the aneurysm and the parent artery.
